Spyrosoft Synergy recently celebrated its third anniversary. The past three years have brought rapid growth, exciting challenges, and major achievements. We sat down with Waclaw Adamczewski to explore what makes the Szczecin site unique, the milestones they’ve reached as a team, and why it’s such a rewarding place to grow your career.

What do you like the most about being the Site Manager of the Szczecin office?

Above all, it’s the people. I work with many amazing individuals, some of whom I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with before in my professional journey. The team creates an atmosphere that makes me genuinely look forward to coming into the office. They not only shape the culture but also contribute to my personal growth. Their deep experience and their eagerness to share knowledge foster a supportive environment. Their dedication and team spirit make leading the Szczecin office both rewarding and inspiring.

What has changed in the Szczecin site over the past three years?

Our progress has been remarkable. Over the past three years, we have achieved significant milestones. We surpassed well over 100 employees in Szczecin and engaged many more in various projects. Our expertise has expanded to include HMI, robotics, and the chemical industry, with a strong focus on AI initiatives.

We’ve also broadened our range of experience among engineers, from senior specialists with over 15 years of experience to juniors eager to learn. Nurturing young talent is key – we’ve cooperated with universities and high schools, running internships and hiring the most promising individuals.

Our professional partnerships have more than doubled, highlighting our commitment to expanding collaborations. We have forged key partnerships, i.e., with the Qt Company, Candera, and Staex, and are proud members of Odense Robotics and the Pittsburgh Robotics Network.

On the events front, we have broadened our community engagement. We’ve held regular Learn & Chill events to foster knowledge-sharing and team connections. In October 2024, we co-organised AI Connect – one of the biggest events on artificial intelligence in Poland – where our team led two sessions, and I had the privilege of serving as one of the hosts.

Growing IT community with Spyrosoft

What specialists form the Spyrosoft Synergy team, and how does their experience benefit new hires?

Our team’s broad mix of experience and technologies is one of our greatest strengths.

We initially focused on specialists in HMI technologies, including Qt, Unity, Slint, and Unreal, which still form a significant part of our team. Today, a large part of our workforce includes quality assurance experts, specialising not only in HMI testing with tools like Squish but also in enterprise and automotive systems.

We’re also rapidly advancing in robotics, with our specialists working on ROS, Gazebo, and LIDAR technologies.

We became involved in bringing innovation to the chemical industry with artificial intelligence solutions, largely thanks to our fruitful cooperation with PPG. So, AI is another key area. However, our expertise spans beyond the chemical sector – our specialists develop custom RAGs and LLMs for clients across industries.

The blend of senior engineers with decades of experience and juniors eager to learn, fosters a dynamic environment. It offers new hires opportunities to broaden their skills and collaborate with seasoned professionals who are generous in sharing their knowledge and growing as leaders.

What are some of the most exciting projects currently underway in Szczecin?

The diversity of our projects makes it difficult to single out just one or two as the most interesting. Each brings its own fascinating challenges and technologies.

For example, we’re involved in HR and employee benefits projects – a domain often unfamiliar to engineers on the market but highly engaging due to its complexity.

Another standout is a project where we developed a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system to automate the translation of resources and instructions for our clients. Similarly, we’ve created a specialised LLM akin to ChatGPT but tailored to support our client’s specialists in specific tasks.

Equally intriguing is software for autonomous drones used to monitor construction sites or mines (even underwater), which includes capabilities like assessing machine fleets or creating Digital Twins of physical equipment on-site.

Lastly, our “R&D on steroids” – DOJO initiative programme, where we tackle new fields and technologies. It allows our specialists to build or enhance their skills from the ground up while helping us showcase our expertise to potential clients in practical, innovative ways. In our Szczecin office, we have a lab – room dedicated to our initiatives, where you can meet an autonomous mobile robot Avatar, play with Volvo excavator digital twin, or explore new avenues with Wavey, a gesture-controlled car system.

How does collaboration with clients provide growth opportunities?

When collaborating with our clients, we focus on more than just completing tasks – we build a partnership based on trust and teamwork. This approach reflects the depth of experience and skills within our team. By nurturing strong relationships, we often participate in the entire development process, leading to rewarding and impactful outcomes.

Collaboration with Spyrosoft Synergy

This collaboration model fosters growth on multiple levels. It empowers us to create high-quality, innovative products by blending our team’s expertise with our clients’ insights. At the same time, the exchange of knowledge and ideas enhances the skills of everyone involved. Our team gains valuable insights into the client’s domain and challenges while clients benefit from our technical expertise and modern methodologies. This synergy strengthens the partnership and drives long-term growth for both sides, making the collaboration a truly rewarding experience.

If you were to describe Spyrosoft Synergy in three words, what would they be?
