G-Cloud 14 – Lot 2 and Lot 3 (RM1557.14)

G-Cloud (the 14th version of the framework, which includes updates and changes to services and suppliers): This is a UK government framework designed to make it easier for public sector organisations such as local councils and the NHS, to procure cloud-based IT services. It simplifies the procurement process by providing a pre-approved list of suppliers and services.

It streamlines the process by offering:

Pre-approved supplier agreements: Public sector organisations can purchase services directly from appointed suppliers under these agreements, bypassing the need for full tenders or individual competitive procurements.
A digital storefront: The Digital Marketplace (formerly CloudStore) enables these organisations to easily search for services available through the G-Cloud framework.

DOS is a UK government initiative designed to simplify how public sector organisations procure digital services. Here’s a breakdown of what that means:

Bespoke Digital Products and Services: DOS is aimed at procuring custom-built digital solutions tailored to specific needs, such as a website or mobile app. It also covers the provision of individual experts or teams in areas such as UX, design, development or testing.
Open to all public sector organisations: Any public sector body in the UK can use the DOS framework, including central government departments, local authorities, NHS trusts, and educational institutions.

In essence, DOS6 streamlines the process for public sector organisations to find and hire skilled digital specialists to design and build bespoke digital products and services using agile methods. This helps them deliver better public services, improve efficiency, and save taxpayer money.

Space-Enabled and Geospatial Services DPS

Spyrosoft is listed on the Space-Enabled and Geospatial Services Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), which is an electronic system that allows public sector organisations to efficiently procure a wide range of services that utilise space technology and geospatial data. This could include anything from satellite imagery analysis for urban planning to the development of GPS-based tracking systems for emergency services.

Ordnance Survey: the new era of mapping

Ordnance Survey (OS), a British mapping institution, aims to remain a mapping leader in the digital age while addressing the growing demand for outdoor activities and serving an important public mission for healthy living. Our long-standing collaboration involved designing and developing several applications, including OS Maps for hiking enthusiasts interested in sharing their trials and Secret Stories for exploring unique and captivating locations.

Smart City Analytics with Talent Alpha

When the client asked us for guidance in the field of AI, they had already worked on a Digital Twin for one of the largest cities in the world. Together, we focused on adding a predictive capability to the system. Two major use-cases connected to public transportation were investigated – predicting a number of bus entries and modeling arrival times of the buses.  For those two use cases we have leveraged state-of-the-art artificial intelligence techniques to enhance the Digital Twin model of a modern smart city.

Small Robot Company: the future of farming

Small Robot Company, a UK agricultural robotics startup, aims to revolutionise agriculture by replacing traditional machinery with autonomous robots that communicate, scan crops, and react to environmental conditions. They partnered with Spyrosoft to design and build from scratch a scalable and flexible geospatial cloud platform acting as a heart, and command centre for their robots, allowing the end users to interact with the collected data – high resolution crop maps.

The Land App: online GIS made simple

The Land App simplifies land project management, resolving the challenges of paper maps and fragmented information. With Spyrosoft’s technology expertise, The Land App team has been able to focus on the business and product roadmap. This – in turn – allowed them to work faster and accomplish all the milestones they had planned for. Thanks to the collaboration with our company, The Land App is now becoming the leading application in nature capital and sustainability domain.

Establishing Centre of Competence with CloudCall

Spyrosoft and CloudCall collaborated to establish a Center of Competence in Poland, focusing on innovation. Spyrosoft experts were present in wide-spread company technologies such as SIP networking, Salesforce, .NET, React, NodeJS, and QA automation. They audited existing solutions, introduced technology upgrades, migration plans, automation, and maintenance for CloudCall.

Development of events classification system

Ordnance Survey Leisure, a mapping agency, needed a solution to filter and select relevant events and activities for their outdoor activities application. They partnered with Spyrosoft to develop an automatic event classifier using state-of-the-art natural language processing (NLP) methods. The project achieved a 95% classification accuracy with limited data.

We conducted comprehensive research and analysis to provide the best support for Digital Workforce clients. Our approach included conducting interviews and empathising with their needs and experiences, which allowed us to thoroughly understand and improve their current processes.
