Challenges and business needs

The company faced the challenge of refreshing its online platform to meet the growing demand for its unique toolkit for specifying and measuring the sustainability performance of buildings. The existing platform required modernisation to keep pace with technological advancements and increasing user expectations. The project aimed to replace an outdated system while retaining the scientific integrity and functionality of its validation and certification systems for sustainable built environments.

Our responsibilities

As part of the project, we migrated the existing toolkit and built a new web platform for the client. We used our technology expertise to create a modern solution with a Java-powered backend and a React-based frontend.

Cloud integrations

As an infrastructure solution, we used the MC Azure cloud, which enabled scalability and ensured high application availability. More so, integration with Azure Active Directory B2C allowed us to provide streamlined and secure access for corporate clients.

Cooperation and training

During the project, we worked closely with specialists on the client side to understand their unique needs and requirements. Then, after the solution implementation, we conducted training sessions to ensure proper knowledge retention and to make sure the client’s team had the necessary background to effectively use and maintain the new platform.

Steady increments

Throughout the collaboration, we embraced a fortnightly delivery cycle, which allowed us to continuously supply the client with new increments. This approach empowered our client’s digital transformation by providing them with regular updates and improvements to the platform.

Quality assurance

To keep the high quality and extensibility of the platform, we also conducted automated tests for both backend and frontend components. This allowed us to thoroughly check all changes and updates made to the platform and thereby reduce the risk of future bugs or problems affecting the user experience.

The project resulted in a successful modernisation of our client’s online platform, addressing the challenge of meeting the increasing demand for its toolkit while keeping pace with technological advancements and user expectations.
