Who should be involved in safety analysis

system engineers icon

System Engineers

The highest ASIL in System Concepts shall be derived from HARA. System Design shall be verified by FTA and DFA analyses.

automotive managers icon

Missing safety measures in the design

Depending on the targeted ASIL, HW design will meet defined metrics and implement specific safety measures. All of these will be gathered in HW FMEDA, HW FTA and DFA Reports.

SW Development Team

Based on the results of top-down analysis like SW FTA or a bottom-up one like SW FMEA, defined safety mechanisms will be implemented and traceable through each SW development stage. The most critical safety mechanisms will be captured with Safety SW requirements, clearly described using SW Architecture, implemented within the code and verified by the test cases.
