Role Overview

The QA engineer will be a critical member of the design system team, responsible for shaping the QA strategy and executing comprehensive testing for our components, patterns, and themes. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of both design and development processes, and a commitment to ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency.

 

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive QA strategy for the design system.
  • Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure testability.
  • Create, maintain, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for components, patterns, and themes.
  • Perform manual testing to identify, document, and track defects and inconsistencies. Opportunity to automate testing where it makes sense.
  • Validate that components, patterns, and themes function as intended across various devices and breakpoints.
  • Conduct accessibility testing to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with the design and development teams to provide feedback and support throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Identify areas for improvement in the QA process and implement best practices.
  • Provide detailed and actionable bug reports and work with the team to prioritize and resolve issues.
