Project Manager (RO)

Job description

We are seeking for an experienced Project Manager to lead and supervise projects and T&Ts (Transition & Transformation) in a Managed Services / ITSM environment. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, executing and delivering the projects in scope, time and budget. This includes the development of detailed planning, staffing mobilization, controlling and monitoring of the underlying workstreams and work-packages, and the appropriate reporting at management level (incl. escalations) to achieve the project goals.

As Project Manager, you lead the project team in a matrix organization and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an international context. Your expertise will help drive the stability and profitability of our customer accounts.

Main responsibilities

• Project initialization and initial creation of needed planning and controlling documents;
• Creation of detailed project plans for the realization of the agreed project scope and contractual requirements in alignment with the delivery units incl. triggering staffing request / mobilization;
• Controlling & Monitoring of the project execution towards timeline, scope, and cost baseline;
• Planning and organization of migrations, including the development of test plans, migration runbooks, rollout plans, and/or knowledge transfers;
• Tracking of customer obligations and project deviations, including addressing need for Change Requests;
• Regular reporting of project status and progress to the project stakeholders and/or to the Overall Project Manager if working as a Workstream Project Manager;
• Project management documentation according to the Manage Now Project Management Framework and related Templates;
• Active risks and issues management for critical items, incl. development of mitigation plans and/or triggering requests for management decisions;
• Manage the Project to Service handover and formal approval activities;
• Project closure activities;

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Project Manager;
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as Transition and/or Rollout Manager for managed services projects (e.g. managed network, hybrid infrastructure, managed workplace, SAP basis);
• Valid Project Management Certification: PMP, Prince2 Practitioner or similar;
• Experience using the M365 applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams/SharePoint) and MS project to develop project plans;
• Very good understanding of project financial controlling and reporting activities;
• Good knowledge about ITSM processes and services, e.g. using Service Now. ITIL (v4) certification is a plus;
• General technical understanding of network, data center and security technologies;
• High quality standard for own work, very good communication and presentation skills, and autonomous way of working;
• Fluent in English and German;
