Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Microsoft BI development (SSIS, SSAS, Power BI)
  • Strong SQL / T-SQL and ETL development experience
  • Expertise in SSIS (ETL processes, Data Warehouse integration)
  • Proficiency in SSAS (Tabular Model, DAX, data modeling)
  • Advanced knowledge of Power BI (dashboarding, reporting, data visualization)
  • Experience with reporting tools (SSRS, Crystal Reports) and data quality checks
  • Agile & DevOps experience
  • Knowledge of ITIL and data governance
  • Familiarity with Azure BI solutions and version control tools (SVN, Git, etc.)
  • Degree in (Business) Computer Science or equivalent IT-related qualification
  • Very good English (written & spoken)

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Senior IT Engineer Business Intelligence (DWH & Reporting) for designing, developing, optimizing, documenting and testing BI solutions. Also, you will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security and performance of our Business Intelligence environment, while also contributing to its ongoing development, automation and optimization, with a strong focus on Microsoft BI technologies (On-Prem and Azure). Your main tasks will include data modeling, ETL-Process development, data visualization, report development and BI environment support (e.g. ticket handling). As Senior IT Engineer Business Intelligence, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a key role in the progression of our customer report and internal dashboard portfolio. Your expertise will drive continuous improvement in the stability and scalability of our BI environment, ensuring they align with our business goals. Responsibilities:

  • Manage the Business Intelligence tool landscape (MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, Power BI, SSRS, SAP BO Crystal Reports), including incident, request, and problem ticket handling
  • Design, develop, and test ETL processes (SSIS) and reporting solutions (SSRS, SAP BO Crystal Reports, Power BI)
  • Gather and define requirements, provide consulting, and support the conceptual design of additional reporting solutions in collaboration with internal stakeholders
  • Monitor the BI environment proactively to prevent issues with data interfaces or system outages
  • Document newly developed solutions in the knowledge management system
  • Support stakeholders with data analysis and provide data-driven insights
