Role Overview
As an Automation Tester ideally with expertise in the media sector, you will play an essential role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software applications and products that impact the media industry. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute test cases, create non-functional test cases, and work on identifying opportunities for process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with your team to design and execute test cases using standard testing techniques for media-related software projects.
- Under guidance, create and execute non-functional test cases, such as performance, security, and scalability testing, in instructed environments.
- Work with your team to develop different business scenarios for features within media applications, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Expand your knowledge by using a range of technologies for testing and employing one type of tool to write test scripts.
- Identify simple patterns and trends in test results and provide input on improvements to testing processes.
- Investigate problems and opportunities in existing processes, and contribute to recommending solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify objectives and potential benefits of testing efforts, ensuring alignment with project goals.
- Learn new technologies to ensure skills and knowledge are appropriate to projects.
Requirements
- A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field or similar work based experience.
- Proven experience as an Automation Tester ideally with a focus on media-related projects.
- Familiarity with standard testing techniques and methodologies.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team, contributing to the development of business scenarios.
- Knowledge of testing tools and technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Eligibility to work in the UK is required.
