Test Manager
Job description
The Test Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing the testing framework for a critical data migration project, ensuring all testing processes are robust, efficient, and aligned with business requirements.
This role will introduce a structured approach to testing, including the creation of comprehensive test plans, coordinating with various internal teams and the client’s testing teams, and ensuring all testing activities are thoroughly documented and executed to meet the highest quality standards.
The Test Manager will drive the maturation of the testing function within the company, ensuring a cohesive, accountable, and transparent testing environment.
Requirements
This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented professional who can drive the testing function to new levels of maturity and efficiency, ensuring the successful delivery of a new client project and setting a high standard for future projects.
Must have:
- Extensive Testing Experience: Proven experience in managing testing activities, particularly in data migration projects and within an Azure environment.
- Test Management Skills: Strong ability to create and manage comprehensive test plans, allocate resources, and coordinate with multiple teams.
- Technical Background: A background in software development or a related technical field.
- Risk and Defect Management: Expertise in identifying, capturing, and managing risks and defects throughout the project lifecycle.
- Process Improvement: Demonstrated ability to assess, advise, and implement improvements in testing processes.
- Collaboration and Communication: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external partners.
- Documentation Skills: Proficiency in maintaining detailed and organized testing documentation.
- Automation Experience: Knowledge and experience in test automation tools and techniques.
- Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Atlassian tools, and other relevant testing and project management tools.
Preferred skills:
- Project Management Skills: Experience in project management, particularly within IT and data migration projects.
- Certification: Relevant certifications in testing and project management (e.g., ISTQB, PMP).
