Project Description:

Together with Unravel (the company operating within the Spyrosoft Group) we are looking for a Senior Product Manager for our client (well recognized industrial company) who will drive financial impact by partnering with internal customers to define and execute assigned product vision and strategy, manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a product, and help identify market opportunities. S/he will define and execute a thorough roadmap and product priorities based on a strong understanding of customer needs, financial impact, insights, and an even stronger handle on in-depth data analysis.

This role will require 20-30% travel. Client is based in Pittsburgh, PA (USA) and is open for remote work.

Main responsibilities:
  • Be the subject matter expert on Content and Lead Generation in both B2C and B2B markets driving to a website user experience
  • Thorough understanding of the techniques and methods required of modern product discovery, product delivery, and the overall end-to-end product lifecycle (e.g., creating/owning strategic products from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams)
  • Prioritize ideas, and test valuable product hypotheses designed to deliver value to our customers
  • Responsible for becoming an expert on both the available functionality of the customer experiences and the intended user’s use of the website to understand not only how they work, but how to optimize the way the users will work to simplify business process and drive adoption/usage as much as possible.
  • Will need to make themselves a subject matter expert on the data: master data sources, quality of the data, required integrations, automated vs. manually managed data, end to end view of how data flows to and from the website, use of the data, and ongoing management of the data as it pertains to the product.
  • Working with appropriate Business Stakeholders, understanding the business objectives and goals, and develop a product release roadmap that would deliver on outcomes related to the business objectives.
  • Responsible for defining user stories and prioritizing to create a Team Backlog that is aligned to the defined roadmap and maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the features or components i.e. making the call on what is considered non-negotiable vs. nice to have
  • Responsible for accepting stories as those are done i.e. accountable for signing-off sprints
  • As the liaison between technical, marketing, AI/ML, and business teams, the Digital Product Manager is responsible for managing communication with team members, and key stakeholders, collecting input, providing updates, and managing expectations throughout the life of the product.
  • The Digital Product Manager will need to support the development of communication, change management, and training content.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate and lead
  • Ability to communicate well, in both small and large groups as well as to all levels of the organization
  • Comfortable with giving and receiving candid feedback
  • Use data to monitor changes and make data-driven decisions
  • Building a clear and concrete set of product KPIs, deriving key insights, and driving experiments and multivariate testing to find product solutions
  • A self-driven, highly-motivated Digital Product Manager who can work with a high degree of autonomy and can prioritize effectively.
  • A business-minded person who can work collaboratively with multiple partners and teams and has proven experience in creating influence and defining work across product teams, delivery, Marketing, Operations, and IT to drive product management. Someone who is articulate and can effectively communicate with technical teams, non-technical business leaders, external agencies, and clients.
Position requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in product management
  • Experience in eliciting, splitting, documenting, and refining business requirements
  • Experience in business process modeling and business process implementation, preferably utilizing modern notations such as BPMN
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills with an ability to state things simply and persuasively for a variety of audiences – internal, external, business, and technical
  • Solid portfolio of commercial agile projects, web, and mobile, implemented in an international environment
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
  • Ability to execute and manage expectations within a cross-functional, matrix management environment
  • Good understanding of Agile and SAFe Agile development principles
  • Exceptional data analytics skills.
  • Ability to lead high-performing, cross-functional teams
  • Good industry knowledge and understanding of current and future trends
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals, and give insight on industry trends.
  • History of making challenging tradeoffs in establishing product priorities that have required sophisticated analyses and challenging negotiations.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to present work to executive stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, both through a technology and competitor lens.
  • BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Lean Startup methodologies.
