Requirements

  • 10+ years of project management experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in leading and implementing large and complex projects / programs
  • Experience in Agile environments
  • ERP-related experience is preferred, but not required
  • Ability to lead and motivate others and thrive in a very fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting to and facilitating discussion with senior leaders
  • Strong facilitation and conflict resolution skills
  • Strategic, operational, risk, and change management skills and experience
  • Strong leadership skills and able to work within a global matrixed organization
  • Must be comfortable working remotely and lack of face-to-face time with colleagues and managers
  • Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Proficiency with PMO tools such as Planview, ADO, Teams, MS Project, Monday.com, etc.
  • General proficiency utilizing reporting tool such as Power BI
  • High proficiency and expertise developing roadmaps and project plans
Role Overview

As part of the strategic vision to reduce technical debt, exit data centers, modernize infrastructure and improve capabilities, PPG has initiated the Cloud Transformation Program.  One component of this Program is the migration of PPG’s Oracle EBS and other applications to the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) environment.  As an IT Project/Program Management Expert, you will be responsible for planning and executing an OCI migration. You will drive cross-functional teams across Infrastructure, Center of Excellence (CoE), Shared Services, Frontline IT, Business Units, and other teams to ensure that implementations are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Applicants for this role should have experience directly managing large-scale technology deployments.

 

Cost Management
  • Drive project leadership team to estimate and approve the project budget
  • Track and Scope Management
  • Drive project leadership team to define and approve scope, goals, and deliverables
  • Ensure requirements are defined as needed. While many of these migrations are as-is, there may be specific performance / other as-is requirement callouts or there may be required changes needed for the future state
  • Develop work breakdown structure and incorporate into project plan and schedule
  • Utilize PPG tools such as Planview and Teams
  • Track and control the scope throughout the project
  • Define scope management control processes and apply change management as needed

Schedule Management

  • Drive project leadership team to define and approve the project plan and schedule
  • Track and control the schedule throughout the project.
  • Define schedule management control processes and apply change management as needed
  • Utilize PPG tools such as Planview and Teams

Quality Management

  • Drive project leadership team, QA lead and Audit lead to define overall quality management plan. This includes scope, roles and tools
  • Manage and track execution of quality management plan as defined
  • Control the budget throughout the project. This includes monthly plan vs actual analysis and forecast updates
  • Define cost management control processes and apply change management as needed
  • Utilize PPG tools such as Planview and Teams

Resource Management

  • Drive project leadership team to define and estimate resource requirements, including definition of specific roles and responsibilities. Work with project leadership to ensure resource requirements are staffed.
  • Define project governance and organizational team structure, escalation and management processes. This may include a
  • Delivery team level, Leadership team level, Steering team level, etc
  • Track and control resource needs and usage throughout the project. This includes monthly plan vs actual analysis and forecast updates
  • Utilize PPG tools such as Planview and Teams
  • Provide leadership and guidance to project team members – foster a collaborative and productive team environment

Communication Management

  • Define the project communication plan needed to support the project governance structure. Ensure alignment with the Stakeholder Management Plan
  • Particularly important to this plan are status communications. There may be status communication requirements unique to this project and there will be standard reporting requirements aligned with existing PPG processes
  • Manage and track execution of communication plan as defined

Risk and Issue Management

  • Define risk and issue management processes, including escalation paths
  • Drive project leadership team to identify known risks and issues and define mitigation strategies
  • Manage and track risks and issues throughout the project

Stakeholder Management

  • Drive project leadership team and Organizational Change Mgmt lead to establish a plan to identify, engage and manage/communicate with project stakeholders
  • Aside from awareness, ensuring stakeholder commitments for required roles, responsibilities and deliverables is key
  • Manage and track execution of stakeholder mgmt. plan as defined

Integration Management

  • Drive, coordinate and manage all project activities to ensure successful completion of the project scope on time, on budget, with quality (and audit) requirements met
  • There are many other concurrent Cloud migration projects. You will need to ensure cross-impacts are identified and liaise with those projects for alignment
