Requirements

  • Extensive experience with Citrix solutions, including Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, NetScaler, Windows 10, software packaging, and cloud infrastructures such as AWS and Microsoft Azure.
  • Strong understanding of IT technologies, including identity providers, client-server architectures, and general IT infrastructure.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure Tenant Management.
  • Experience with ITSM tools and processes, along with basic ITIL knowledge.
  • Familiarity with emerging IT technologies (e.g., Microsoft 365, Modern Managed Workplace) and a strong interest in state-of-the-art solutions. Experience in IT project implementation is desirable.
  • A successfully completed degree in (business) computer science or equivalent training, ideally with a focus on computer science.
  • Strong customer orientation, excellent communication skills, and a structured, reliable approach to work.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Backend Citrix Specialist to manage, optimize, and support our Citrix infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of Citrix systems, including installation, configuration, administration, performance tuning, and security management. Your expertise will drive the stability and scalability of Citrix environments, ensuring alignment with business goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and develop technical solution concepts in the Microsoft Workplace/infrastructure environment, focusing on client virtualization for both cloud and on-premise infrastructures for national and international customers.
  • Collaborate with sales and presales teams during the quotation process to engage and inspire customers.
  • Conduct due diligence assessments and discovery workshops with clients, presenting technical concepts to decision-makers.
  • Coordinate internally with other delivery units to design optimal solutions and prepare cost calculations based on your approach.

Citrix & Terminal Services:

  • Manage Citrix XenApp, XenDesktop, XenServer, and NetScaler, including publishing applications as per client requirements.
  • Maintain and update golden images for virtualization.
  • Administer Windows Terminal Services and manage Terminal Server licensing.

Microsoft Windows Server:

  • Configure and manage Microsoft Windows Server environments.
  • Set up, configure, maintain, and upgrade different Windows Server versions.
  • Handle Windows update installations and ensure system stability.

General IT Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Diagnose and resolve system and network issues, addressing hardware/software incidents efficiently.
  • Work within SLA thresholds for incidents, requests, and problem management.
  • Independently resolve issues and escalate major problems to the L3 team when necessary.
  • Handle Incident Management, including P1 & P2 incidents, change requests, and problem tickets.
  • Take appropriate actions on server alert triggers to ensure system performance and security.
