Job description

Our customer is a German company specializing in comprehensive IT solutions, supporting enterprises in their digital transformation. Main responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize integration solutions using webMethods.io.
  • Support the implementation and management of the API Gateway.
  • Provide technical consultation and analyze integration requirements.
  • Test and debug integration workflows.
  • Assist with monitoring and managing the integration platform.

Professional experience

  • ITSM Experience: At least 1 year of experience in IT Service Management (ITSM), e.g., with tools like ServiceNow, BMC Remedy, or Jira Service Management.
  • Design & Implementation Experience: At least 2 years of experience in developing and implementing solutions using Java or another object-oriented programming language.
  • REST/SOAP API Experience: At least 1 year of hands-on experience with REST and SOAP APIs.

Technical requirements

webMethods.io Integration:

  • Proficient in developing and configuring integration solutions using webMethods.io Integration.
  • Ability to design, debug, and optimize complex workflows and services using the available tools.
  • Understanding of cloud-based integrations and hybrid architectures (on-premise and cloud).

API Gateway:

  • Basic knowledge of setting up, configuring, and managing webMethods API Gateway.
  • Experience in designing and implementing API security policies (e.g., OAuth, JWT, IP whitelisting).
  • Skills in monitoring and debugging APIs, including log and error analysis.

General Integration Technologies:

  • Proficiency in REST, SOAP, GraphQL, and web services.
  • Experience with common data formats such as JSON, XML, and flat files.
  • Familiarity with message-oriented middleware (e.g., JMS, MQ).

Programming Skills:

  • Experience in Flow Services and Java Services within the webMethods platform.
  • Java or Object-Oriented Programming Languages: At least 2 years of practical experience in development and implementation.
  • Basic knowledge of JavaScript is a plus.

Integration Suite Experience (Preferred):

  • Knowledge and experience with one or more integration suites such as: webMethods Mulesoft SAP PI/PO BizTalk or similar platforms.

Databases and Backend Systems:

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL) and basic knowledge of NoSQL databases.
  • Understanding of data migration strategies and ETL processes.

DevOps and CI/CD:

  • Basic knowledge of integrating DevOps practices with webMethods (e.g., using Git, Jenkins, or other CI/CD tools).
  • Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., ELK Stack, Prometheus).
