Technical Product Owner
Project Description:
We are looking for an experienced Product Owner who will help to deal with platform software development challenges. Our customer is a leading German producer of customized solutions for the self-supply of solar-powered electricity. These include photovoltaic, energy storage systems as well as cloud technology systems helping individuals to become energetically independent.
Investigate, identify and analyze requirements and define areas for development of software platform.
Product Vision and Strategy
- Define product vision: Articulate the long-term goals and direction of the product.
- Develop product strategy: Outline the roadmap, milestones, and key features to achieve the vision.
- Prioritize features: Determine the order in which features will be developed based on business value and technical feasibility.
Product Backlog Management
- Create and maintain product backlog: Manage a prioritized list of user stories or requirements for the product.
- Refine backlog items: Break down large user stories into smaller, more manageable tasks.
- Estimate backlog items: Facilitate team to assess the effort and time required to complete each backlog item.
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with stakeholders: Collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., customers, developers, designers) to gather requirements and feedback.
- Manage expectations: Communicate the product’s progress and address concerns.
- Align stakeholders: Ensure that all stakeholders have a shared understanding of the product vision and goals.
Technical Collaboration
- Work with development team: Collaborate with developers to ensure that the product meets technical requirements.
- Facilitate decision-making: Help the team make informed decisions about technical trade-offs.by inviting relevant tech experts from other teams.
Product Delivery and Success
- Monitor product performance: Track key metrics to measure product success.
- Analyze user feedback: Gather and analyze feedback from users to identify areas for improvement together.
- Iterate and improve: Continuously refine the product based on user feedback and market trends.
Additional Responsibilities
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends: Keep abreast of technological advancements and market changes.
- Manage product documentation: Create and maintain product documentation, such as user guides and technical specifications.
- Support product launch: Assist with product launch activities, including marketing and sales.
Technical Skills
Identity Access Management (IAM):

- General understanding of IAM principles, standards, and frameworks (e.g., OAuth2, OpenID Connect, SAML) would be a plus
- Awareness of Keycloak administration and configuration, including user management, realm creation, role-based access control (RBAC), and integration with other systems
- Experience with single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), and password management solutions
- Knowledge of identity federation and trust establishment
- IoT

- Familiarity with IoT protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP, HTTP)
- Understanding of IoT device security and data privacy concerns
- Experience with IoT device management platforms and cloud services
- Software Development:

- Basic programming skills (e.g., Java, Python) for scripting and automation
- Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum)
- Understanding of API design and development
- Cloud Platforms:

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their IAM capabilities
- Experience in projects that included deploying and managing IAM solutions in cloud environments would be a plus
Soft Skills:
- Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Problem-solving: Ability to identify and solve complex technical problems
- Collaboration: Strong teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage expectations and build relationships with stakeholders
- Product Vision: Ability to understand and articulate the product vision and strategy
- Technical Understanding: A strong understanding of business requirements and the ability to translate them into technical concepts
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., development, testing, security)
