Job description
The System Engineer – Industrialization is responsible of the technical solutions of test systems, product testability and operability in manufacturing. The system engineer is a main technical interface between engineering and manufacturing in ADAS product development.
- Understands the needs of project stakeholders concerning industrialization of a product;
- Drives technical solution definitions and agreements between engineering and production teams;
- Reacts to technical issues, blockers and defects observed during testing and operation of the product in manufacturing;
- Creates, maintains, and communicates manufacturing specifications to address solutions of first-time flashing, test systems, calibration systems and other product specific manufacturing topics;
- Specifies End-of-Line test cases and test sequences with acceptance criteria in end-of-line test specifications;
- Reviews and agrees on detection measures of special characteristics for the product in the manufacturing;
- Defines and supports the creation of data used during tests in manufacturing;
- Specifies return analysis and investigation solutions of product and creates return analysis guidelines;
- Supports implementation of test systems by engineering team and manufacturing team;
- Supports dry runs of manufacturing tests and End-of-Line tests;
- Organizes reviews of the system engineering work products;
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Engineering or equivalent;
- Master’s preferred;
- 4-8 years of experience in ADAS and AD system development, system verification and validation, hardware development or software development in automotive industry, and at least 2 years of experience in system engineering according to ISO15288, ISO26262 and ASPICE;
- Solid know-how of testing and testing systems in manufacturing;
- Advanced knowledge of automotive technologies such as CAN, FlexRay, Automotive-Ethernet, AUTOSAR, etc.;
- Automotive SPICE or CMMI;
- Functional Safety (ISO 26262);
- Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office package (especially Excel);
- Comprehensive knowledge of PTC Integrity, Enterprise Architect, DOORS, Rhapsody, MATLAB-Simulink;
- Basic knowledge of SAP;
- Comprehensive knowledge of English (speak & write);
- For positions in non-English speaking countries: Advanced knowledge (verbal & written) of local language required;
- Able to work effectively in a global environment;
- Pragmatic problem-solving skills;
- Able to represent technical topics internally and externally;
- Able to moderate and motivate global teams;
- Travel (domestic) may be needed;
- Self-motivation, tenacity, and communication skills;
- Working knowledge of configuration management (preferably PTC/MKS), project monitoring and control techniques;
- Team moderation;
- International business communication;
