Project description

Our customer is a leading German producer of customized solutions for the self-supply of solar-powered electricity. This includes photovoltaic, energy storage systems as well as cloud technology systems helping individuals to become energetically independent.

Please note that this position involves occasional on-call duty to resolve potential customer-critical incidents.

We are pleased to offer relocation assistance for the individuals interested in joining our team in Croatia (preferably Zagreb or Osijek)

  • relocation bonus – 650-800 EUR depending on the distance – to help cover initial travel expenses,
  • administrative help with formalities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Development and Maintenance: Design, implement, and maintain our IoT communication platform using technologies such as MQTT (HiveMQ), Kafka / Confluent Cloud, Azure and Kubernetes.
  • Message Queue Management: Configure and manage highly available and scalable messaging solutions, primarily with MQTT.
  • Data Processing: Administer and manage Kafka clusters for efficient data processing and transmission.
  • Azure Integration: Implement and integrate Azure services for platform scaling, monitoring, and security.
  • Kubernetes: Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters for orchestration.
  • Edge Communication: Ensure global edge communication by implementing appropriate protocols, security mechanisms and routing strategies.
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize platform performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Security: Ensure platform security through access controls, encryption mechanisms and security monitoring.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues and disruptions.
  • Documentation: Create and update documentation on platform architecture, configurations and processes.

Required skills:

  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in administrating MQTT (HiveMQ) and Kafka / Confluent Cloud.
  • Infrastructure Automation: At least 2 years of experience with automation tools such as Ansible or Terraform.
  • Kubernetes: At least 2 years of experience with Kubernetes in scalable environments.
  • Cloud Competence: Knowledge and experience with cloud environments and services, particularly Azure.
  • Scaling and Performance: Familiarity with scaling and optimizing IoT communication platforms.
  • Distributed Systems: Experience managing distributed systems and global edge communication.
  • Automation: Strong knowledge in automation and orchestration of infrastructure and applications.
  • CI/CD and DevOps: Experience with CI/CD pipelines and general DevOps practices.
  • Network and Security: Understanding of network protocols, security mechanisms and routing strategies in the context of IoT communication.
