Project description

Spyrosoft is responsible for the implementation and development of an IoT platform that will be used by connected devices manufactured by our Client globally. Our Client is a leading manufacturer of plumbing, flow control, water quality, drainage and hvac devices and solutions.
Azure based, cloud IoT platform will be the heart of a solution used by few dozen types of devices to provide features like: condition monitoring, remote control, device twin, software update over the air, predictive maintenance and others.
Shared Services Platform will be developed by several scrum teams simultaneously to quickly connect new types of devices.

Cloud Architect will join a team of other architects, technical leaders, business and system analysts to plan the development of the Shared Services Platform. The analysis will take into consideration: business goals of the stakeholders and products needs they are responsible for, non-functional requirements like performance, scalability and availability, reusability of services and components.
Part of the work of architects is supporting the implementation teams with architecture decisions, patterns, mentoring of less experienced team members and devops activities. Some implementation work needs to be expected as well.

Job description

  • Collaboration with business analyst in the collection and refinement of requirements
  • Collaboration with business analyst in the collection and refinement of requirements
  • Collaboration with data, security, infrastructure and business architects as they consult in to the project
  • Generation of architectural response to the requirement and iteration of architectural response with internal delivery teams
  • Communication of the architecture to a range of business and technical stakeholders
  • Set up and chair appropriate forums for discussion of architectural issues with stakeholders (e.g. Design Authorities)
  • Provision of technical leadership to teams and close collaboration with them through the entire delivery lifecycle
  • Generation of technical documentation in support of the project, including but not limited to architectural artefacts (diagrams, catalogue, matrices) associated with the documentation and communication of the architecture
  • Scoping, defining, and being involved in the delivery of, proofs of concept appropriate to de-risking implementation.
  • Holding accountability for solution architecture
  • Holding accountability for technology selection
  • Maintenance of the repository of architectural documentation associated with the development of this capability

Requirements

  • Microservice architectures - containerisation on Kubernetes platforms,
  • Relational and non-relational data stores,
  • Technical knowledge of Azure IoT services (IoT/Event Hub, DPS, Time Series Insights),
  • Understanding of Lambda Architecture concept,
  • Azure Databricks and Synapse experience would be a plus,
  • Understanding of network architecture concepts like Hub & Spoke,
  • Expertise in C# programming language,
  • Experience in working with Azure Security Center and Azure Monitor,
  • Knowledge of IaaC concepts (ARM / Bicep / Terraform)
