Job description

Test Manager - ADAS Functions is responsible for providing technical leadership in coordinating, facilitating, motivating, and directing efforts of the Functions Performance Test program teams and ensures efficient use of team resources in the areas:

• Data Requirements & KPI Validation
• Reference Sensorics & Annotation
• Data Management
• Data Recording, Visualization & Reprocessing

They ensure that projects are completed to specification, within an established time frame and budget for the FPT area. They use their expertise to improve all aspects of project planning and resource management. They work with internal and external resources to maintain strong customer relationships with dedication to customer program schedules. They ensure customer and company requirements are met, including cost, quality, timing and other related aspects of programs – close collaboration with the Functions development program team is essential.

  • Acts as primary project manager for all FPT related concerns and offers expertise to the product teams
  • Performs other duties as necessary and supervises and/or provides work direction to the FPT team members
  • Is responsible for creation and maintenance of FPT time schedules, resource / budget planning and reporting
  • Coordinates the analysis, planning and development of FPT related requirements, test concepts, test environment and standards with reference to scheduled projects
  • Assigns and oversees the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones
  • Holds regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects
  • Provides guidance for creation and performs reviews of Statement of Work (SoWs) documents for any FPT sub-suppliers and service provider
  • Determines and defines clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for the project team members required for specific projects or initiatives
  • Identifies strategic changes required to improve processes, efficiency, and quality
  • Drives structured problem-solving processes
  • Works closely with line managers to develop and suggest reuse strategy
  • Documents and monitors program objectives for the FPT area and ensures countermeasures are initiated to correct unfavorable variances
  • Participates in continuous improvement efforts
  • Ensures compliance to company processes and applicable standards
  • Evaluation of internal and external change requests

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or comparable relevant experience related technical field required
  • Knowledge in the software development and test of automotive electronics products
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies, and methods
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising project teams
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
  • Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
  • Knowledge of product development engineering practices in automotive field, specifically in ADAS functions development
  • Knowledge of Automotive SPICE process
  • Advanced knowledge in Reprocessing procedures and equipment
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Package (especially Excel)
  • ALM tools (PTC Integrity)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
  • Good English skills are essential, German skills are an asset
  • Willingness to travel (domestic and international) required
