Job description
The Defect Manager is responsible for the successful execution of the defect management process in an assigned program. He/she is in continues contact with different program members and process stakeholders outside of a program, to ensure correct process execution. Further, the Defect Manager is the owner of the defect management process and works on improvements and program specific tailoring of the process.
- Develop defect management process and workflows
- Tailor defect management workflows and process to program specific needs
- Plan and track defect management activities within a program
- Monitor and ensure programs follow defect process and workflow
- Hold meetings with defect owners and drive escalations if needed
- Develop and track KPIs for process performance
- Create program specific reports based on defect KPIs
- Prepare status reports for the management on defects
- Communicate with customers and suppliers on current defect status
- Facilitate trainings on the defect management process for program members
